Map domain name into wordpress with free personal blog

  I have tried to map my domain name into wordpress.com for 13 usd but i always were asked to map domain name with premium included. Why?

  my domain name vietnambiketrips.com.

  You need an upgraded plan to map a domain. That $13 is only for additional domains. The Personal plan will do however. https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  I just want to map my domain into the wordpress only but i was always asked to pay 99 usd.

  When i removed the premium, the services all removed.

  Please help.

  You need an upgraded plan to map a domain, but the Personal plan at $35.88 will suffice. You need to purchase the Personal plan first. Once you have paid for it then a domain credit will be added to your account that you can use to map a domain you already own.

  Dear TheMagicrobot,

  After i paid the Personal plan at $35.88, I map my domain name in, i will then pay anually 35.88 usd. Is it correct?

  Can i cancel the personal plan but still keep my domain name mapped into my site?

  It is USD35.88 per year yes with free mapping, but the mapping only continues as long as the plan continues.

  I upgraded to the personal plan but I am still being billed $22 for the domain mapping….isn’t it free with the personal plan?

  You can cancel the plan for a partial refund and keep the domain mapping, but you won’t be able to renew it next year without purchasing a plan again.

  @jeffday,

  Are you speaking of oldtownfloristblog.com? That domain is already mapped to your WordPress.com site as part of your Personal Plan. If you’re trying to add a second domain, that will cost extra – your plan only includes one free domain.
