Map domain which was mapped to my other account

So, I have a domain randypuppy.com which I want to map to wordpress. I actually created another account for this, but I wish to use my old account for this anyways. It was mapped to the new account, but I then removed the mapping and deleted the site from the new account. Now when I try to map it on my old account, it says: ‘This domain was recently in use by someone else and is not available to map yet’

Any possibility to get rid of this waiting period? How long is the waiting period?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi jussikokki,

It sounds like you wish to map randypuppy.com to a site owned by your jussikokki account, is that correct?

Any possibility to get rid of this waiting period? How long is the waiting period?

There is a waiting period after domain mapping has been removed from one account before the same domain can be mapped to another.

If you are able to login to the account that originally owned the domain mapping upgrade (randypuppy), please login and reply here to confirm you are happy for jussikokki to map randypuppy.com.

In the meantime, please purchase a plan from My Sites > Plans, then I can add domain mapping to the site once we have received confirmation from the other account.

Hi. Here I am, logged in as randypuppy and I do want to map that randypuppy.com domain to jussikokki account, as that is my account also.

Why I want to do this? I had a domain on jussikokki which I was able to install woocommerce on. This was on a free plan though, so I am not sure how this was possible.. I created the randypuppy account for this randypuppy.com domain, just to get a clean start for the domain. As it turned out, I was unable to install woocommerce from randypuppy account.

So I am trying to get that domain on jussikokki to see if I have some settings from godaddy, which allow me to install the woocommerce from that account.

    Hi randypuppy,

I had a domain on jussikokki which I was able to install woocommerce on. This was on a free plan though, so I am not sure how this was possible..

Custom plugins can only be installed on WordPress.com sites using the Business plan. 4go.e0b.myftpupload.com actually runs WordPress.org software with another host (rather than WordPress.com):

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

While the site isn’t hosted with us, the Jetpack plugin creates a connection between that site and your WordPress.com account. This is why you were able to install WooCommerce without a plan and manage the site from here.

Domain mapping won’t be needed in order to use randypuppy.com as the domain for 4go.e0b.myftpupload.com — you would need to follow this WordPress.org documentation instead:

    https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL

Domain mapping would be needed if you wanted to use randypuppy.com as the custom domain for randypuppy91310510.wordpress.com.

With that in mind, do you want to map the domain to randypuppy91310510.wordpress.com? If so, please purchase a plan from your jussikokki account and I can add the upgrade :)

Hey. Pretty much this morning/noon, I realized this stuff myself and I was able to get the setup I wanted up and running.

So I wont be needing help on this subject anymore.

    Thanks for your attention anyways!
