Map hosting, domain linking, and jetpack ?

Connecting account through self-hosted to WP.com…
SSL problems on redirect ?
More redirect problems… Old WP.com domain posts show exlusively on the account I want to be connect to Jet Pack. Shaleintelligence.wordpress.com = https://www.shaleintelligence.com .
Shaleintelligence.wordpress.com = another created blog I don’t want anymore.I’ve mapped it out and had it working at one point. I think jetpack broke the connection on one of their updates.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
I’m not sure I understand the issue your having. You say that some old posts are appearing on your old site shaleintelligence.wordpress.com?
When I visit shaleintelligence.wordpress.com I’m taken to your self-hosted site at shaleintelligence.com.
Can you tell me what you’re seeing and what you’d like to be seeing?

Hi, thank you for your prompt response. What I am seeing is shaleintelligence.wordpress.com from my back end contains 20 posts. My http://www.shaleintelligence.com self hosted only has 13. I want to link my wordpress.com to my self hosted. It seems jetpack is having “issues” linking WordPress.com to my self hosted and vice Versa. I don’t want them to be identical but redirected as such. I like jetpack and cross post, but it seems crosspost cannot find wordpress.com and jet pack says my client is wrong. I’ve “mapped” wordpress.com site, hope this helps clarify my issue? Thank you for your time

Apologize, I don’t want one to redirect to other perse. I just want the functionality of having wordpress.com on my self hosted again

Hi there,
I think there’s some confusion here regarding what the Jetpack connection with WordPress.com and the mapping upgrade at WordPress.com are used for.
The Jetpack connection to your WordPress.com account doesn’t pull posts from your WordPress.com blog to your self-hosted site. It’s just required for the Jetpack plugin to work correctly. The Jetpack plugin brings over many popular features like WordPress Likes and Sharing buttons to your self-hosted site, but it doesn’t pull the content.
The Domain Mapping upgrade is used if you have a domain registered elsewhere and you wanted to use that domain with your WordPress.com site. So, say you owned shaleintelligence.com and wanted to replace your domain shaleintelligence.wordpress.com with that custom URL. That’s where the Domain Mapping comes in handy.
In this case, it sounds like shaleintelligence.com is actually a self-hosted site so the domain mapping upgrade likely isn’t what you’re looking for.
I believe what you’re looking for is to have the site shaleintelligence.wordpress.com and all post URLs from that site redirect to the same post on shaleintelligence.com. Is that correct?
Going forward, you’ll want to add all of your new posts on your self-hosted site at shaleintelligence.com/wp-admin, not on shaleintelligence.wordpress.com/wp-admin.
Please read through the above and let me know if I’m on the right track! Also, please let me know if you have any questions.
