map new domain without losing search engine ranking
-
I have a worpress site called ‘tennislessonmelbourne.net.’ It has a low google ranking. I just purchased the domain ‘tennislessonsmelbourne.com’ from another person. It has a very high google ranking so I want to use this as my primary domain.
I had planned to just map this new high ranking domain to my existing site, but was told that I may risk the high google ranking of this domain by doing this.
Is this true? Can I do anything to reduce this risk? Or can I just follow the instructions on wordpress on how to map a new domain to the website and the high rank of that domain will remain the same?
Many thanks in advance,

SEO advice of that level is a little beyond what I am able to provide. Hiring an SEO specialist is probably the way to go if you are very concerned about it.
However, if it were my domain, I would map it and use it and let the SEO build up as it should from simply providing great content.
