Map not showing location on some devices (samsung galaxy and windows 10)

Hi I’ve added the google api key under the contact info and map widget and the api is working fine on most devices but we are having issue on

the map does not show the actual address but the world on those devices.
    Samsung galaxy s7
    PC Windows 10 64 Pro

I verified the Google maps api in their system and all is good on this side. Is there a compatibility issue with those devices with this template?
    Thank you!

  • The location that gets displayed comes from Google, so the theme shouldn’t cause any issues as long as the address loads on Google’s side :)

When I search the address you’ve entered:

    6610, Saint-Denis
    Montréal
    H2S 2R9

It shows up differently on Google Maps.

If you change it this, does that work better (it seems to for me when I test it):

    6610 Rue Saint-Denis
    Montréal
    H2S 2R9

Let me know how it goes!

Hi Chad, thanks for you help but we tried this and it did not work
I also regenerated the Google api key but we are still not getting the map
But we found that there are 2+ signs missing in the code

    <iframe width=”600″ height=”216″ frameborder=”0″ src=”https://www.google.com/maps/embed/v1/place?q=6610+Saint-DenisMontr%C3%A9alH2S+2R9&key=AIzaSyCaWwCXfDzfzZ1MINYohJLWSyyaKZ6pEYk” class=”contact-map”></iframe>

So I had to enter the adresse on one line with comma between saint-denis, montreal, H2S

    ML

  • Interesting that you’re still not seeing it, as it’s working well for me and some others I’ve had test it!

When I first looked at your site the other day, I saw the zoomed out world view you described, (using Chrome on a Mac).

The address looked a little off, so I copied into google.com/maps and ran a search. Then I took their version of the address that came up, which is what I recommended in my last post and it worked for me that way.

I’m still seeing the map now, with the commas you’ve added.

What web browser are you using? Does the problem happen if you change browsers? Also, is anyone else reporting the map not loading when they open your site, or is it only on your system? :)

Here’s a screenshot of the map as it appears for me today:
