  Legitimate question. I registered my domain yesterday and was basically told that WordPress would be the best site to use to build my website. Map or transfer?

  Bringing your domain to WordPress.com can happen one of two ways.

  1. Map it:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  2. Transfer it:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/
