Map Subdomains to Specific Posts
-
I would like to map a subdomain to a blog post. For example, we have the domain name, http://www.liveoakreserve.us. I’m getting our monthly real estate newsletter ready, but it won’t be in the mailbox for about 2-3 weeks. I want to advertise several open houses. But we don’t know for sure which homes will still be available. So I want to write, “At press time, the details are not finalized. See http://OpenHouse.LiveOakReserve.us for the most up-to-date information”. And have that subdomain point to this blog post, http://liveoakreserve.us/2013/10/30/live-oak-reserve-open-house-tantalizing-turkey-tasting-contest/. This makes it easier for the readers to type in the website, of course.
I can do this with GoDaddy in their control panel very easily. I type the subdomain, the forwarding website, and save. i.e. http://2351FoliageOakTer.JeanScottHomes.com.
Can I do that here? I read several articles, but can’t find the answer.
Thank you,
Tom Scott

At WordPress.com subdomains can only be mapped to a site or blog’s front page. You can read more about mapping a subdomain at http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/
However, you can mark a post as sticky by checking the option that says “Stick this post to the front page” in the Publish settings on any post.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-postsOr create a static front page/landing page what visitors will first see when visiting your site: http://en.support.wordpress.com/front-page
Please let us know if you need any further assistance.
