Mapbox Marker Issue
-
Hi there! I’m trying to create a map for my site with multiple markers. Once I have fourty-nine markers the plugin fails and displays a bullet point list of my markers with links to Google maps. Is there a limit on the number of markers I can have for the plugin to work?

Hi there,
Which site is this for? I see you have a few on your account. Is there a place i can see this map on your site so I can confirm the issue? Can I see this on your homepage? Or is it a specific place I need to look at?
Thanks for pointing it out!

Hi Jerry,
It’s a specific page on my site that is currently password protected.
lozlit.wordpress.com/theindielist. The password is Indie. As I have 49 markers the map currently displays on this page, but if I add anymore it goes into a bullet list with links.

Hi @baroquearoundtheclock, I markers currently. Quick question: if you click “See a full map on Google” do all of the markers show up there?
-
So currently there are 49 markers. I will change it after I post this to show you what it does after 50.
The button beneath the map takes the user to another site where I’ve created a different map on Google MyMaps for an intermediary fix.

Thanks baroquearoundtheclock. The block on your site seems to have an error currently, however I was able to confirm on a test site that eventually the markers do run out and turn to a list.
This might be an intentional limit, but I’ll see if I can find out.

Okay, I found an existing issue on this. For now if you have more than 50 markers, we recommend embedding a Google Map instead. Since you already have that set up, it should be fairly easy to embed it, too:

Ah no what a shame! I liked the look of the mapbox one but I’ll embed a Google one instead. Thank you!
