Hello!
I mapped an exisiting domain and my site is still not working. I followed the instructions and updated the nameservers at Godaddy.com. It’s been about 60 hours since the change took place. Any thoughts?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there! First, could you confirm that you have WWW.whitneyclinkscales.com setup with GoDaddy? I see that you do indeed have whitneyclinkscales.com, but they need to set the www as a CNAME for your domain. Please let me know and I can help further. Thanks!

There is currently a www. CNAME set up for my domain, which is WhitneyClinkscales.com. Is there something further I need to do?

Could you please explain to me how you’d like your domain to be mapped? Currently, it is behaving how it’s mapped. Your domain (http://whitneyclinkscales.com/) is mapped to your parked page on GoDaddy. Are you building a self-hosted site there? If so, you should be set to move forward. You do not need any mapping here at WordPress.com, however, if you are building your site at GoDaddy and your domain name is registered with them as well.
If you were hoping to manage your site here at WordPress.com, you’ve actually pointed your domain away from your site whitneyclinkscales.wordpress.com/ . If you were hoping to use your GoDaddy-registered custom domain with your WordPress.com-hosted site, please let me know.
I appreciate the addition details. They’ll help me troubleshoot your problem!

Thank you for prompt replies!
I’m hoping to use my GoDaddy-registered custom domain with my wordpress.com hosted site. I’m a summing when I paid to map my domain, I should’ve entered WhitneyClinkscales.com instead of http://www.whitneyclinkscales.com. That being said, I would like to remap this same domain so that it works with my go daddy domain.

I’m guessing I shouldnt have put www. when I mapped my domain name. Is there a way to change it? I made the $13.00 payment.

Whitney, You are right. You’ll need to map without the www.
I’m going to disconnect the original mapping that isn’t working properly and refund your $13 so you can start fresh.
Go to Store in your site’s Dashboard and click Add a Domain. Then Map a Domain You Already Own. Follow the instructions from there without adding the www.
So you are aware, it can take up to 72-hours for changes made to appear online. If you don’t see your mapping immediately, it doesn’t necessarily mean anything is wrong.
If you have trouble with this, or more questions, please let me know!
