Mapped domain (from GoDaddy) has be renewed, yet Word Press has it market expire

    Renewed domain (arlingtontree.org) at GoDaddy successfully on April 6, which is mapped to arlingtontree.wordpress.com. Next day, site: arlingtontontrees.org is now showing ‘expired domain’ message. GoDaddy says domain is up-to-date, yet WordPress has it expired. GoDaddy suggested the problem lies with WordPress, maybe a DNS is not updated??
    Additional info, we have a free WordPress plan, which we’ve used for multiple years, mapping with the same domain name as above. Why would our renewing the domain with GoDaddy cause the site to go down? Can not find a solution in the forums. thank you

    Hi @twosonadvantage, I actually can’t see arlingtontontrees.org — are you sure that’s the right name?

    Also, for any domain that is registered elsewhere, it’s still possible for the domain mapping or plan to expire.

    Can you log in as the account owner and renew the upgrade here?
