Mapped domain name

  Hi, trying to map my olafdammann.net (purchased on Webs.com) to my W account. I successfully mapped it, but my browser always goes to webs.com, even if I empty my cache etc. I tried to deleted my webs-account, but they don’t let me delete a domain-only account. What can I do to successfully transfer my domain name to you guys?

  Hey there,

  Although olafdammann.net is already mapped to WordPress.com, the domain’s nameservers have not been updated to point over to WordPress.com. They are still pointing to webs.com:

  http://www.whoishostingthis.com/?q=olafdammann.net

  You don’t want to delete your webs account, because they are hosting your domain and WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers – so you’ll need to keep it hosted.

  You’ll need to update the nameservers on webs.com end:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/#2-ask-your-domain-provider-to-update-your-dns-settings
