mapped domain on uploaded files

  Hi,
  I’ve successfully mapped my domain (let’s call it foobar.org) to foobar.wordpress.com. As a user, I enter foobar.org into my browser, and it successfully takes me to my blog, and it’s still “called” foobar.org. All is well so far. But now when I upload a file and make a link in a post or a page, I find ‘wordpress.com’ still in the link name. How do I get rid of that?

  I don’t think you can since your files are still on wordpress.com servers.

  Sure, but they are as well even if I’m on “foobar.org”, as the domain is remapped. I’m just wondering why it’s not the same with files.

  I’ve noticed the same thing. The one truly irritating thing about it is that it affects images as well, so all my Google imagesearch results are for the .wordpress.com URL, when I’d prefer (for obvious reasons) that they be for the new domain name. I hope staff can/will fix this.
