Mapped Domain works on Mobile, not on PC

  Hi,

  I bought a domain with domain.com yesterday, and have been trying to map my blog to that site. I’ve followed all the instructions given by both WordPress and domain.com, but can’t get either my PC or my MAC to display my site. It works perfectly with both my handheld Android-devices.

  I have deleted the browser history, cookies and cache, and even re-installed Firefox at one point. I also tried using other browsers, but no luck.

  Any suggestions?

  Hello, sorry to hear this is happening to you. I’m currently using a Mac and your site is working perfectly when I view it on Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Have you tried the Advanced Browser Troubleshooting steps?

  Hello ElzrJose,

  Thank you=) It seems anyone else can access my site, so it must be something related to my cookies,cache or similar. Strange that it doesn’t work with neither Safari, Firefox, Chrome or Edge though.

  You’re welcome. Is there like an error message or something that shows when you try accessing your site? Can you post a link to a screenshot here so we can understand better what’s going on?

  This is an error message for a self-hosted WordPress.org site. I’m not entirely sure why it’s showing up on your WordPress.com site when you are visiting it. Are you logged in to a WordPress.com or WordPress.org account when visiting the site?

  I was logged in to my WordPress account ( the one I used when I made the site). I tried accessing it when logged out just now, but got the same error message then.

  Hi again ElzrJose:

  Slight update.

  Seems it is the IP-address it is blocking. Cause when i turn on wi-fi on my mobile devices I get the same error on both mine and my gf’s devices. But with only 4G it works perfectly.

  Any idea how to fix that?

  Different ISPs update DNS (nameserver) information at different rates. While that is happening, weird results like this can happen. For example, I’m not having trouble on cell data or wifi using my AT&T iPhone.

  I’d encourage you to wait 72 hours and see if things have straightened out.
