Mapping

In using my current domain, i need to use wordpress for an embedded live streaming player that my current website won’t support. I will eventually move our entire site to wordpress from Wix but need to find an immediate fix to get this player up and connected to our site. My understanding is that I can purchase ‘mapping’ and buy your business website option (25$/month) and have a page that acts as a landing page but is connected through our current website? I actually don’t know if i understand what i just explained but I would like a little help before i make the purchase with wordpress to verify i can do what i am trying to do. Thanks!

Ustream.TV is supported on WordPress.com:

However, any streaming functionality beyond that would need to be added through custom plugins, which are supported on sites using the Business plan.

It sounds like you want to do the following:
- Create a live steaming site/page on WordPress.com
- Keep the current site on Wix for now and add a link to the live stream page on WordPress.com
- Continue using the domain on Wix until you are ready to move the entire site to WordPress.com
- Use a subdomain for the WordPress.com site
Is that correct? Once I know for sure, I can look at options for using the existing domain here.
