mapping

Hi there, if I purchase a domain and hosting with Bluehost and then map this into WordPress, do I pay any extra costs to WordPress, such as a separate monthly plan? In a nutshell, what does it change in terms of costs when I transfer my domain and hosting to WordPress from Bluehost? Thanks a lot

If you purchase a domain and hosting with BlueHost then your site will be at BlueHost using the free WordPress.org software. You’ll be paying them and you don’t pay WordPress.com anything.
If you want a site here at WordPress.com it would be easier to create your domain (free for the first year) here too (with a paid WordPress.com plan).
It would be a little more involved but you could purchase a domain only at BlueHost and then map it to a WordPress.com site if you preferred. That option would entail buying/keeping a domain at BlueHost and creating a site here at WordPress.com with a Personal plan or higher with which to map the domain. (You need to own a domain for 60 days to transfer it).

I meant to include this link. Plans are charged annually.
