  I have registered a domain with another provider and would like to change my domain name (remove the .wordpress.com). I am unable to proceed without adding a paid plan to my cart. Is it possible for me to continue the site mapping with a free plan.

  Site: (email visible only to moderators and staff).
  WP.com: Yes
  Correct account: Yes

  Hi @innovativegradesolutions,

  You will need to upgrade to any of the WordPress.com paid plans to be able to use a custom domain for your site.

  After you upgrade, please refer to this guide to map a domain that you own to your WordPress.com site:
  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/
