  Is mapping a blog in wordpress the same as having google create a sitemap for me, I am giving good thought to adding a domain and mapping in wordpress, and then hoping with this that I can then verify my site with google and do some other things to make it easier to use for google. As regards my previous message I tried using webmaster tools but I need to verify my site first.

  Mapping a domain and Google site maps are two separate things.

  You can map a domain to your WordPress.com blog by following this guide:
