mapping a .ca domain?

  Hi,

  I want to have the .wordpress. taken out of my web address, so I was going to register the domain through wordpress and then map it, but then i read that it can only be for .com/net/org addresses, and i’m using .ca as im canadian and it is the only one available right now, so if i buy the domain from godaddy.com can i then map it on wordpress or will it still reject it because it is a .ca instead of a .com/net/org address?

  I don’t want to spend the money to buy the domain and then find out I can’t use it on wordpress after I’ve already paid.

  Yes, you will have to contact staff on that as there is a hoop that you have to jump through.
