Mapping a ".com.br" domain
-
Hi…
I use to buy ‘.com’ domains directly at wordpress site, but in this case I need to map that cause it is already registered…
I already change the nameservers, but it is still not mapping…
I read it could take a couple hours, but I think it’s taking a little long…
So, I decided to send an email to you to check if is there any problem…Thanks a lot…

Certain domains, such as .com.br and other non-US domains, require us to add a “Zone Record” on our servers before the name servers can be updated. I’ve done that for your domain name, you should be able to map it now.

It is not working yet… It’s maping to the old website… Maybe I need to write the IPs too???
-
No… It didnt work too…
Well… Step by step…
I changed the DNS…
I paid that…
I made the greenpizzadelivery.com.br as primary domain…
It still doesn’t work… -
http://greenpizzadelivery.com.br/ appears to be working properly.
It can take domain changes up to 72 hours (though usually much less) to propagate to your ISP. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your ISP refreshes their DNS cache.

Now I’m pretty lost with that…
I need to make the “.com.br -> wordpress” link
I can use the domain registrar DNS and send that domain to any URL at the domain registrar panel…
Do I really need to make the nameservers changes???
If you guys can explain me since the beggining of the mapping operation, just like a tutorial, I will appreciate…
The pizza guy is already getting angry with me… hehehe
Thanks a lot -
Yes, you must update the name servers to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM, NS2.WORDPRESS.COM, and NS3.WORDPRESS.COM if you want to map a domain you already own to a WordPress.com blog.
It looks like it’s already working for http://greenpizzadelivery.com.br/ so you probably don’t need to make any further changes to the DNS.

It’s not working…
http://www.greenpizzadelivery.com.br/ is taking me to the old site… and the http://greenpizzadelivery.wordpress.com is opening the Blog…
Maybe is gonna take a little time…
Thanks a lot… -

It’s working perfectly now, and will work for you eventually.
As mentioned earlier, it can take domain changes like this up to 72 hours (though usually much less) to propagate to your ISP. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your ISP refreshes their DNS cache.
