mapping a domain

I am trying to map a domain which I own elsewhere. I did this in Feb of this year for another site I own and it cost me 11 pounds for the year. When I try and complete the same process for this site, you want to charge me at least 50 pounds a year. What am I doing wrong?

Domains are no longer available for purchase or mapping individually. They are included with WordPress.com Premium. This change has been made as we work to offer the best combination of value and performance for users while still offering a completely free product for those who do not wish to purchase any upgrades.
A great way to go if you are not interested in WordPress.com Premium is to look into setting up a self-hosted WordPress.org site through a hosting provider such as Bluehost, GoDaddy, or Pressable.

Nope, I went on the live chat function and Ben C. (staff), fixed my problem. I was is US dollars rather than GBP. Once that was fixed I can now map a domain for 11 pounds.

There are some user accounts that are grandfathered into old pricing at this time. But this does not apply to everyone.
