Mapping a domain
-
I recently purchased and registered a domain using Google Domains. I then made a free WordPress.com account. When I go to ‘My Site’ I see the option to add a domain. I then type in the domain I already own and on that page it says ‘$13/year’, but when I try to checkout the price changes to ‘$99, $8.25 x 12’ and says I have to upgrade to the Premium plan.
So what’s going on? How much does it ACTUALLY cost to map an already owned domain?

Hi there,
Domains can only be added as part of a plan, so you shouldn’t be seeing that price if you’re trying to add your first domain. You can map additional domains at $13, but only once you already own a plan on your site.
You can see the different plans with their costs (billed yearly) here:

I’d appreciate if you can give me some more information so we can correct this mistake. Where exactly do you see it say $13 a year? Can you please give me the URL of the page, and also take a screen shot and upload it to your media library so I can see?
Thanks.
