Mapping a domain and change of plan

    Hello,
i’m completely new to blogs, domains, servers, etc.
I recently created quick and easy ‘business card’ page here for the startup i’m working at.
We own a domain absurdogames.com that we bought from nazwa.pl site in Poland.
    My question is:
If I change a plan and map that domain through wordpress, would that mean that if someone were to go to our domain it wouldn’t have ‘wordpress’ in it’s address?
Would i need to buy servers and install something there, or would i be okay with just using online editor for editing everything?
All we need is a simple yet ‘proffessional’ looking website, but having blog-like address doesn’t help.
Thank you in advance for your help

    Hello!

The answer is yes :) If you choose to map your existing domain to your WordPress blog, ‘wordpress’ will be left out from the blog’s URL and your custom domain will be your primary domain (after you map the domain and make it your primary domain).

Even if someone would visit your ‘wordpress’ domain (for example, yourdomain.wordpress.com), they would still be redirected automatically to the domain you mapped.

Also, you don’t need to install anything nor buy any servers. WordPress.com is a hosted solution and they take care of everything.

Here is a complete guide for mapping a domain to your blog:

I’ve also added a link to get you acquainted with WordPress.com basics :)

    Hope that helps! Cheers :)

    Hello!

Thank You very much for such a quick answer! I couldn’t find a definitive one elsewhere.

I will read the guides You suggested, and hopefully map our domain as soon as possible.
    Cheers
