Mapping a domain name

Hi, I purchased telique.ie and want to map it to teliquecommunications.wordpress.com . When I try to map it says ‘Sorry but telique.ie has not been registered yet therefore cannot be mapped.’.
I have contacted register365 where I purchased the domain and they have confirmed that the domain name is live in the IE zone.
Can you please help me and let me know what needs to be done to get this resolved.

I see in a related forum thread where a WordPress.com staff member said they need to manually add some domain names. That may be the case here with the .ie extension so I’ve tagged this for staff’s attention.

Hi, thank you for help. I have purchased the 13euro fee for mapping my domain name telique.ie and also made it my primary domain. However when I test out the url in a new window it just takes me to a page with register365 banner saying name is not available.
What am I doing wrong? Or what else needs to be done to get this across the line?

Can you point the domain to our name servers? They need to be set as follows:
ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.comOnce that’s done, wait about 6 hours then try to access the site again.

Hi, thank you for the response. I spoke with register365 this morning and they say I need a “zone file” from WordPress. Not sure what this means?
Perhaps they tried pointing the domain to the WordPress servers before I purchased the mapping? Is that what could be wrong?

Right now you have a zone file, so you should be able to point here. Just to confirm, the domain is telique.ie right?

Hello supernova, thank you for your help the last time. I appear to be having the same issue with a new web domain I am trying to map to the WordPress servers. Would it be possible for you to check the status on tomflemingsite.wordpress.com ? Is it a case again that this requires a zone file? Thank you in advance for your help.

I’m having the same problem with the domain http://www.staksetsport.no, I’m trying to map it to my site http://www.staksetsport.wordpress.com.
I keep getting the message «Sorry but staksetsport.no has not been registered yet therefore cannot be mapped», how do I solve this? -

– Purchase the subscription by renewing here:
https://wordpress.com/my-upgrades– Point the domain to our name servers and give it a few hours to take effect:
ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.com– Set the domain as primary under https://wordpress.com/my-domains

I have the same problem with the domain http://www.roknesvollen.no, which should be mapped to this site: https://roknesvollen.wordpress.com.
