Mapping a Domain Registered with WordPress.com to a Site Hosted on GoDaddy

  I have domain bishopclimateblog.com register in WordPress.com and i need it host in Godaddy hosting server.

  i have already change nameserver and also DNS A Records to DEDICATED IP ADDRESS 160.153.0.177

  but domain still showing “bishopclimateblog.com This page is parked free, courtesy of WordPress.com”

  can i know how to fix this ..??

  You cannot use both Nameservers AND an IP record. You will need to find out which your hosting provider (godaddy) wants you to use and just use that one.

  Right, but because you are using GoDaddy nameservers, the IP record (160.153.0.177) that you have entered will not work. In order for the IP record to be obeyed, you need to be using WordPress.com nameservers.

  So, if GoDaddy wants you to use nameservers, then delete the IP record. If they want you to use an IP record (160.153.0.177), then you need to switch the nameservers back to WordPress.com nameservers so that the IP record will work.

  I can help you make the change, but you need to ask GoDaddy which they want you to use, because using both will not work.

  I’ve also noticed that the domain transfer for bishopclimateblog.com is causing a conflict of associating it’s DNS Zone properly at the time. Once the domain transfer completes, you can then review the DNS Zone for it to allow for it to resolve.

  However as you’ve setup the domain to host upon the Ultimate Web Hosting plan for bishopclimate.co, you can direct the domain to point to the Dedicated IP Address of 160.153.0.177 at the time.

  You would have to direct the domain only to the IP address, there are no associated nameservers for the domain upon the account at this time.

  And now that the nameservers are set back to WordPress.com nameservers, I’m seeing bishopclimateblog.com point to your self hosted WordPress site.

  So from this end, everything looks good.
