Mapping a domain to a FREE template

  I already have a domain name mindfulnessworcester.co.uk and need to map this to the FREE template that I have created in WordPress – for some reason it’s asking for a payment of £85 (annual fee) – if this correct? As it notes in the basket that mapping is FREE? Many thanks in advance for your support

  Hi there,

  You need a paid upgrade in order to map your existing domain to your site. The cheapest way to map your existing domain is upgrading to the Personal Plan.

  However, if you try to map domain first, it leads you to upgrade to the Premium Plan automatically. If you want to map your domain with the Personal Plan, please go to https://wordpress.com/plans/ first, and perform upgrading process for the Personal Plan. Next, you can map your domain via https://wordpress.com/domains/add/.
