mapping a domain/uploading an external theme
-
Hi there
2 questions:
1 – most important can i map to a domain that ends in .co.za. This is not a coomonly linked domain i have come to understand.
2 – i have found a theme on colorlib.com and their directions say to go to appearances -> themes -> upload a theme at the top of the page. i cannot find the ‘upload a theme’ option?thanks in advance!

Hi there.
#1 As far as I know that shouldn’t be a problem. Only internationalised domain names, i.e. domain names containing special characters, are not supported. As long as your registrar can change your domain name servers to point to WordPress.com you should be able to use it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
#2 It is not possible to use third-party themes on WordPress.com. We can ONLY use the themes listed in the theme gallery, here: https://wordpress.com/themes/ If using that theme is a make-or-break type of thing, then you’ll need to go self-hosted using WordPress.org.
