Mapping a .es domain and continue using WordPress.com dashboard (not a self-host
-
I want to register a .es domain and map it to my WordPress.com blog. All I’ve read in help indicates that you map in order to use your self-hosted WordPress version… but could I use a .es domain while continue using WordPress.com dashboard as I’ve been doing?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes. You can purchase an .es domain elsewhere and have the zone record added so you can map to it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/dns-zone-records/
Mapping an existing domain costs $13. annually.
In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from. If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog.
See here for mapping an existing domain that you already own http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

Thanks for your answer.
But I have another problem, when I search for a .es domain to “Add a DNS zone”, I have the following error message: We cannot add a zone for the domain you’ve specified. Please contact support for help.
I’ve tried with a pair of domains I already own.
What can I do?
Thanks in advance.

Provide the URLs please and I will add the zone record. If that doesn’t work then I’ll tag the thread for Staff to add them.

I haven’t purchased it yet, but the domain will be: http://www.cbseram.es
Thanks in advance.
