Please provide the actual URLs for Staff.
Does reading this help?
Map a subdomain (for a domain with an existing website) to your WordPress.com blog – if you already have a website you don’t want to affect, and you want to add a blog to it under a subdomain (for example, blog.yourgroovydomain.com).
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/If the domain extension you want to use is not available for registration on WordPress.com, you can register elsewhere and add it to your WordPress.com blog using Domain Mapping. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#available-domains
When we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve like this one wherein Staff have to add a zone record to make domain mapping possible we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads. I did that for you.
How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then we subscribe to this thread so we are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.
After your provide the URL and Staff add the zone record you will be able to follow-through.
