Mapping a subdomain

    I’ve attempted to follow a tutorial on how to map a subdomain. I have created the CNAME record and can confirm that the subdomain is pointing to wordpress.com, as I am now receiving a message for the domain mapping upgrade.

    When I attempt to add the subdomain on wordpress.com, it gives me an error on checkout: ‘This domain already exists and cannot be registered.’

    We do own the domain and have already pointed the subdomain. What else can I do to avoid this message?

    Sorry we missed this earlier. For future reference, use the “modlook” tag in forums to get staff help.

    Or, once you have a plan, you will be able to reach staff directly.
