    Hey Bob!

Here are the instructions for mapping your WordPress.com site your subdomain:

    en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/

Once you have your CNAME record setup with your domain registrar, it should be smooth sailing. I can certainly help if you run into any road blocks along the way.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

    Hey Bob!

Can you confirm for me that you created a CNAME record for blog.underwaterphotoclasses.com with your domain registrar? If you haven’t yet, or want to confirm it’s been done correctly, you can send them this sample note:

I would like to map a subdomain of my domain to my blog, which is hosted at WordPress.com. I want to use the subdomain blog.underwaterphotoclasses.com. Can you please add a CNAME record to point that subdomain to bobhahnphoto.wordpress.com?

When I visit your domain information page, I am still seeing that you mapped your domain, rather than your subdomain. Here is a link to your domain information:
    https://bobhahnphoto.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

Notice that it says underwaterphotoclasses.com is your Primary Domain. You should have mapped blog.underwaterphotoclasses.com as your Primary Domain instead.

If you’d like, I can detach the mapping for underwaterphotoclasses.com and credit you $13. Then, you can click on Map a Domain You Already Own (in the link above), and type blog.underwaterphotoclasses.com in the field. This won’t work unless you already have blog.underwaterphotoclasses.com set up with your domain registrar, however.

Please let me know how you’d like me to proceed. Thank you!

I did create a CNAME for blog.underwaterphotoclasses.com with my domain registrar. It would great if you could detach the domain mapping.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hey Bob!

Done and done. I’ve removed the mapping, and credited your account $13 so your can add the correct subdomain mapping.

Good luck and let me know how it works out, and if I can help further. Take care!

I just took a look at you’re domain’s whois information:

    http://who.is/dns/underwaterphotoclasses.com

It looks like the CNAME for blog.underwaterphotoclasses.com is pointing to

    bobhahnphoto.wordpress.com.underwaterphotoclasses.com

    instead of

    bobhahnphoto.wordpress.com

Can you check your DNS settings for that CNAME record?

That was the problem. Thank you for your help.

Of course! Let me know if there’s anything else. :)
