Mapping a subdomain to my blog
-
For a wordpress.com site I administer (michelinemasse.wordpress.com) I’ve tried to add a subdomain using the following guide:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-subdomain/
The CNAME consult.micheline.ma correctly resolved to michelinemasse.wordpress.com and I’ve added the micheline.ma domain I control to WordPress as per the guide (and made the payment), and set it to the primary domain as suggested in the guide.
However after a day or so requests to http://consult.micheline.ma still are redirected to http://micheline.ma instead of serving the WordPress site on the subdomain as you’d expect as per the guide.
NSlookup output:
Aliases:
consult.micheline.ma is an alias for michelinemasse.wordpress.com.
michelinemasse.wordpress.com is an alias for lb.wordpress.com.
lb.wordpress.com has address 192.0.78.12
lb.wordpress.com has address 192.0.78.13curl output:
$ curl -vv consult.micheline.ma
* Rebuilt URL to: consult.micheline.ma/
* Trying 192.0.78.12…
* Connected to consult.micheline.ma (192.0.78.12) port 80 (#0)
> GET / HTTP/1.1
> Host: consult.micheline.ma
> User-Agent: curl/7.43.0
> Accept: */*
>
< HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently
< Server: nginx
< Date: Tue, 23 Feb 2016 11:00:28 GMT
< Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8
< Transfer-Encoding: chunked
< Connection: keep-alive
< Vary: Cookie
< Location: http://micheline.ma/
< X-ac: 1.ams _dfw
<I understand this is behaviour you’d want for a primary domain and that I’ve set micheline.ma to be the primary domain, however I do not it to be a primary (naked) domain, it’s the guide for subdomains that says to do this anyway!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I like how the forum add it’s ziakitty.wordpress.com I need help with, but as noted it’s michelinemasse.wordpress.com
-
Well I’ve had to change the primary domain back to michelinemasse.wordpress.com since the site is otherwise not visible.
Let me know if I need to change it back for anyone to help me with this.

Hi there!
Since this is being resolved over email, I’ll close this thread.
Have a great day!
