Mapping a subdomain..very confused.
-
Hey everyone, what I’m trying to do is having my blog address, which is currently tyrionfrost.wordpress.com be blog.tyrionfrost.com. I already have the domain tyrionfrost.com, but am unsure of what to do now. I’ve read the instructions on “mapping a subdomain” but for some reason, I can’t get it to work. When I log in to my domain registar (monikor), click the domain, and then IP..I can add a cname..but I’m not clear on what to add to the fields.
There’s Host (not sure what to put there), and Address (I’m also unsure).
Also, do I need to actually create the blog.tyrionfrost.com subdomain through my webhost? I’m very confused..haha. Hopefully someone can help.
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

My best idea – create the CNAME at your Register
blog.tyrionfrost.com. IN CNAME tyrionfrost.wordpress.com.Your Register has to tell the world where your blog is. – i.e. at WordPress.COM and then your WordPress.COM site need to be told that it has sort of a different name.

Your Register should have a help desk or Forum. don’t forget the periods etc. The internet is not very forgiving of the smallest error in the address.
WordPress.COM does some checking when you try and do Domain Mapping so that is why the sequence needs to be exact. Also – it can take 24 to 72 hours for everything to settle down.
