Mapping an Existant Domain and Email

    Currently my website is hosted through GoDaddy and I have read the mapping an existent domain page, but my question is do the emails go down for the period of time it takes for the transfer to take place?

    Also, when I have updated the primary domain, if I search for my website what comes up? The WordPress or the GoDaddy website?

    Yes, the emails go down for the transfer period. And search engines take awhile to update their listings.
