Mapping cost and upgrade fees?

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi There, If I map one of my domains to my Whiteroseranchathome site, i have to pay 13.00 mapping. Will I also have to pay for another premium site fee?

    Hi there!

The only fee you need to pay to map your domain to your site is the $13 for the Domain Mapping upgrade. You can do this through your dashboard at Store > My Domains. Select Map an Existing Domain.

Let me know if I can answer any other questions!

Thank you so much! So here is the next question, I purchased the domain from vistaprint and they have released it so I can transfer it over to you. How do I do that?
    Your wonderful!

    Hi Susan!

WordPress.com does not accept incoming transfers of domain names. The best way to setup your domain is to keep it registered with VistaPrint and change your name servers to:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

If you don’t know how to do this, you’ll need to contact your Vistaprint for assistance.

Let me know if I can help further!

    Dear Shawna,

You are delightful!!!! Thank you so much for your quick responses too.
Once I do this then do I map to whiteroseranchathome or create an entire new blog site which i really don’t want to do…
and….. I really want the primary url to be bohemianranchgirl.com
    Can I do that?
    Thank you ,
    Susan

So, whiteroseranchathome.com is already mapped to your WordPress.com site whiteroseranchathome.wordpress.com. If you want bohemianranchgirl.com to be mapped to the same blog, you’ll purchase Domain Mapping for bohemianranchgirl.com through your dashboard.

Once you’ve set up Domain Mapping, the newest domain will automatically be selected as your primary domain, but if this doesn’t happen. You can go to Store > My Domains and select it from the list.

Does that make sense? This can get a little confusing, so just let me know if I need to clarify anything. :)
