Mapping domain

  I have a free plan. I am trying to map an external domain for 13/year but when I go to do that it changes to 99/year. Too much for a single site to map to an external plan. I chose WP because I thought you you can do this for cheap/free.

  Hi there,

  Domains can only be added as part of a plan. Once you have a plan you can add additional mappings at $13 a domain, but the first one requires a paid plan. If you see the $13 price on the Domains page it’s because a plan has already been added to your cart.

  I see you’ve since bought the Premium Plan, but you can also map a domain with the cheaper Personal Plan. Let me know if you’d prefer that instead, and I can downgrade you and refund the difference in cost between the two plans.

  Hi sorry for the delay. Yes I would like to get instead the Personal Plan if that’s cheaper. Its very difficult to tell that with the existing set of directions/documentation that domain mapping can be done with the Personal Plan.

  Okay. I’ve changed the plan on your site to Personal, and refunded you the difference in cost between the two plans. You should receive the refund in about 10 business days, depending on your bank.

  Thanks. I appreciate that.

  Suggestion: WP’s documentation would be better if it were more clear how one is supposed to domain a mapping on a _personal_account.
