mapping domain?

  Hi
  It says under mapping a domain
  ‘£11.00 per year plus registration costs at your current provider’

  I’m with GoDaddym are you saying there is additional charge for this?

  Hi there,

  To clarify, “domain mapping” is different from transferring your domain to us directly. It is a way to keep your domain with GoDaddy (instead of transferring it) but still use it as the address of your WordPress.com site.

  However, because the domain is still at GoDaddy, you do need to pay the standard registration fees at GoDaddy as well as pay for domain mapping on this end. Your fees at GoDaddy do not increase, but to use your GoDaddy domain with us does require an upgrade with us as well, to make the connection.

  Is the “Premium Plan” one of those upgrade plans that includes free mapping?

  Also how much bandwidth is allocated for the premium?

  All our paid plans include the domain mapping upgrade, yes, for as many domains as you want.

  All plans on WordPress.com, including the free plan, come with unlimited bandwidth – there is no maximum traffic cap for sites on WordPress.com.
