mapping domain

  hi there,

  I just made a few changes to my blog and will try to explain my situation and questions as clearly as I can below:

  1. I just registered a new domain tasleembhanjee.com and made it the primary domain site which used to be thesmartfoodie.com

  2. thesmartfoodie.com seems to be linked to the first site I started off with which is foodandlit.wordpress.com

  3. I’m not sure if I need to do any mapping and how to map. At the moment tasleembhanjee.com automatically redirects to thesmartfoodie.com which is great. But I don’t want to renew the smartfoodie.com which will be coming up in October.

  Would really appreciate your help. Many thanks.

  I’ve just disabled the auto-renew for you on the ‘smartfoodie.com’ domain registration upgrade.

  To which WordPress.com blog do you want tasleembhanjee.com to be connected to?

  Both tasleembhanjee.com and thesmartfoodie.com are connected to foodandlit.wordpress.com. Is this what you wanted? You can change the blog’s primary domain at: https://foodandlit.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

  Hi, thanks for your patience with me. I’m really confused as to what a blog’s primary domain means. I thought tasleembhanjee.com was the primary domain.

  Both sites are connected to foodandlit.wordpress.com and I’m not sure why. At this point, I just want to disable the auto-renew for the smartfoodie but still have it re-direct to tasleembhanjee.com.

  If you prefer to point one of the domains to a different blog, let me know the blog address and I will change this for you.

  It’s already set up like this. tasleembhanjee.com is your primary domain and thesmartfoodie.com redirects to tasleembhanjee.com.

  That’s correct. If thesmartfoodie.com expires the domain will not work anymore, unless they type tasleembhanjee.com manually.
