  Hello! I have a domain name all ready to map my wordpress site to, but i can’t find a way to do that without paying for a premium plan, one year at a time. A few years ago I had a different site with WordPress and a custom domain and didn’t have any monthly fees from an upgraded plan. How can I either only map the domain, without adding a plan, or choose the personal plan and pay month by month? Thank you.

  Hi there,

  We stopped selling domain mapping (now called domain connection) as a stand-alone upgrade on WordPress.com several years ago. If you had an existing upgrade on another site, you would have been able to continue renewing that upgrade for as long as you wanted, but to add that upgrade to any new site now requires a paid plan.

  At the moment the only plans we offer are Starter or Pro, and we don’t have monthly payments available on those plans. We no longer offer the Personal Plan.
