mapping domain
-
Hello,
I am having a trouble mapping my domain (spacer.im). I have already changed name servers to the wordpress ones but still WordPress gives me an error ‘Sorry but spacer.im has not been registered yet therefore cannot be mapped.’
It would be amazing if you could help me with this issue

Sorry about that, @lllz. I’ve added mapping for you. You’ll still need to do a few things:
– Purchase the subscription by renewing here:
https://wordpress.com/my-upgrades– Set the domain as primary under https://wordpress.com/my-domains

Thank you so much, @supernovia !
May I ask another question, if I need to set up an email and the email provider asks me to verify the domain name by making some changes to DNS servers, will this affect spacer.im ?
Also, what is the best way to upload a file to the root folder at my WordPress website?
A bit more information here

And also another problem that I stumbled upon – I seem to be unable to even forward my email because:
“WARNING!
Changes to the DNS, URL forwarding or Email forwarding will not work because this domain is not using Name.com nameservers. In order to use these features this domain must use the default Name.com nameservers.”
Is there any way of going about it?

Hi, while you can’t upload a file to root, you can use the CNAME method of verification. It’s that middle option of Step 1.
You can add that and your other DNS records using these steps:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/custom-dns/“WARNING!
Changes to the DNS, URL forwarding or Email forwarding will not work because this domain is not using Name.com nameservers. In order to use these features this domain must use the default Name.com nameservers.”Make sure you’re editing the settings here on our servers (the instructions above will help), rather than on the Name.com nameservers. I hope that helps!
