    Hi there,

If I understand you correctly, you already own your own domain name, right? The good news is that you can easily link your wordpress blog to this domain through mapping. Here is how to do it:

Use a Domain You Already Own (Domain Mapping)
Do you already own a domain name? If you would like to use it here on WordPress.com all you need to do is “map” your existing domain to your site. Here’s how! (If you would like a guide that includes pictures to help you, please click here.)

    1. Add domain mapping

Go to the Domains page, select your site, and choose the Add Domain option.

Click the Map It button next to “Already own a domain?”

Enter the domain you’d like to map and click the blue Add button

Complete the checkout process for the mapping

    2. Ask your domain provider to update your DNS settings

This step must be completed with the company you purchased your domain from. You can contact the support department at your domain registrar for help if necessary. If you are not sure what to say, here is a sample email you can send:

I would like to use my domain with a WordPress.com site. In order to do this, I need to point my domain’s name servers to the following:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    3. Wait for the magic

Depending on the order that you add everything, you may want to head back over to Domains and make sure the domain you just mapped is set as your primary domain.

Once it’s set as the primary, if the domain doesn’t load correctly or you see an error, don’t worry. It can take a few hours for your domain name servers (DNS) to update fully. You will also likely need to clear your browser’s cache.

Alternate Option for Step 2: Update the DNS yourself (A little more complicated.)

If you prefer not to contact your registrar’s support, you can log in to your account at your domain registrar, and replace any existing name servers with these three domain name server (DNS) addresses:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

If you’re having trouble finding where to change your DNS settings,
we recommend that you contact your domain registrar’s support department for help.

    I hope that helps!

    Hello.
    I followed the procedure.
But in change for DNS on the registrant’s site also ask me the IP addresses.
I have not got them. how to recover them?
    Thanks.
    Salvatore.

    Good morning, Salvatore.

Hmm, this is what I found about IP addresses (Source: IP Addresses – Support)

    IP Address For Domain Mapping

When mapping an existing domain registered with another host, the host may ask for an IP Address instead of (or in addition to) our nameservers. When possible we encourage people to add our nameservers rather than IP addresses because our IPs can change over time. If your registrar requires A records, you can contact support and we’ll provide you with a list of our current IP addresses.

Please note that since the IPs we provide are not static, your domain might stop working at some point in the future. If that happens, please contact us again to find out the most current IPs and then update your A records.

I hope that helps! Have a wonderful day.

    Best regards,
    Sarah

I can’t communicate with the support!
From the link: https://wordpress.com/help/contact are unable to write in form.

It just happens to me or is it a bad day ??
    :(

Hmm, I wonder if you’ve enabled javascript? If I’m reading the code on the contact page right, that form utilizes that javascript, which means you have to have that enabled in your browser.

If that’s the issue, a quick fix might simply be opening that page in another browser.
Which browser are you using: Chrome, FireFox, Internet Explorer? Try opening that page in another browser (so for example, I’m using Google Chrome; I would try opening it in Firefox) to see if that fixes the issue.

A more complicated fix could be enabling javascript on your current browser; this link here should teach you how to do that.

If neither of those solutions correct your issue, I’ll tag a moderator so they come look at this thread. Thank you for your patience! I’m learning a lot about WordPress today! =)

    Thank you for your answer.
Javascript is enabled on all browsers: IE, Edge, Crome, Firefox. These are all updated to the latest version.
But the form of help from my account on wp.com only works on IE. Not bad for a browser will disappear! :)

I contacted the staff and they helped me by providing me my IP address to be connected to NS on REGISTER.IT to map my domain.
    Thanks so much.
