Mapping domain after webpage template is ready

    I already have a working webpage and domain name, but I´d like to try to create a draft of webpage in wordpress environment. Once the page is ready and if I am happy with the result, Id´like to map my domain name in wordpress, make the wordpress webpage public and cancel the old webpage. I hope my explanation made sense.

    Hi, no problem. You’re welcome to create your new site with us before pointing the domain here. That way your current site can stay “live” until your new one is ready.

    I do recommend getting a plan earlier on if you’ll need it, since they have other features you might find useful, including direct support:
    https://wordpress.com/plans

    Then just avoid using the domain options until you’re ready, and then you can map or transfer the domain.
