Mapping domain and upgraded plans

  Hi, I own a domain and am trying to connect it with my wordpress website. I see that I can map it for $13. I was wondering if I upgrade for $2.99/month if mapping my domain is then included or if I then have to additionally pay the $13 domain mapping fee as well as upgrade?

  There is a custom domain credit included in the WordPress.com Personal Plan. This can be used to register a custom domain through us, or used to map a domain you already own.
