Mapping domain from HostPapa to WordPress
-
Oh my gosh I’m so confused – any help would be appreciated!
I bought, built and hosted my mom’s website on HostPapa. Now I want to use WordPress. I created a free WordPress blog, my mom approved, and so now I want to take her domain name away from the HostPapa site and over to the new WordPress site.
So I’ve been following the WordPress directions to do this. (http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/#instructions-for-mapping-an-existing-domain) I’m on step one:Update your domain’s name servers to the following:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMSo I’m logged into my control panel in HostPapa and navigated to: Simple DNS Zone Editor. It says “Add an A Record” and asks for a Name and IP Address. When I give NS1.WORDPRESS.COM as the name, it has a successful green check mark, but what is the IP address? And do I “Add an A Record” for all three of these (NS1.wordpress, NS2., NS3.)?
Thanks so any and all help with this!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No, those are nameservers, not A Records.
In this case, I recommend asking your registrar how to change your nameservers.
