Mapping Domain From Namecheap

  I’m trying to map my domain from Namecheap and am getting prompted that I need to upgrade to a WordPress premium plan (and pay money) to do so. Is this really required?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi –

  You will need a plan upgrade to map your domain to your WordPress.com account. Take a look at those here: wordpress.com/pricing/

  The personal option will work for this too and is more affordable than the premium plan.

  Add the plan to your account first. Next, click on My Sites < Domain < Add < Map it! to set up the mapping. These are the detailed instructions to do this: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
