mapping domain is not 13 dollars!

  Hi, I wanted to map my domain that I bought another place, then I press ‘add domain’ and it says that I need to pay
  ‘WordPress.com Personal – annual subscription
  portfolioit.wordpress.com
  35.88 USD
  (2.99 USD x 12 months)

  WordPress.com Credits – annual subscription
  -13 USD’
  I just need to map my domain!!! It cannot so much money for just mapping my domain. And it used to cost 13 dollars (although it was also a bit too high)

  WordPress.com made some changes quite a while ago. To map a domain you already own you now need to upgrade to a paid plan first. https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
