Do I have to change my A records to map my domain?
-
I bought a domain name (www.mindfullymormon.org) from google in hopes to map onto my wordpress blog….I changed the nameservers to point towards wordpress and was prompted to pay for the upgrade from wordpress. I then changed the primary domain to “mindfullymormon.org” but it hasn’t worked. Google online support indicated that I may need to change the “A record settings” on the domain host and “create a new A record?” with other instructions that follow:
Is this the answer? If so, can you tell me where to go to do this on the wordpress site? Thank you!
4.Enter a value for the host name. For some domain hosts, the value ‘@’ corresponds to the naked domain.
5.Enter the following IP addresses as the destination value:
216.239.32.21
216.239.34.21
216.239.36.21
216.239.38.216.Save changes with your domain host.

From where I am on the internet, your domain (mindfullymormon.org) is working great. :-)
There’s no need to change A records. You only need to change your name servers to map your domain.
Keep in mind domain changes usually take several hours to fully take effect across the internet – theoretically it may take up to 72 hours.
I’d recommend checking back in a few more hours and it should be working for you too. If it’s still not working for you, simply reply back and let us know. We’d be happy to investigate further.
