Thanks Robyn. It’s not really clear to me that survision.net is connected to survision.wordpress.com but actually that is ok. My technical friend set it up for me to link survision.net to the wordpress engine, so to speak. I didn’t want to forward emails to the wordpress servers, though, as the hosting is shared with my ex-husband who receives mail via the local server that the original survision.net is connected too. blah blah!
So, what did I pay $13 for, exactly? if someone types in survision.wordpress.com they will go to survision.net?
And, I notice I have gravatars on the other hidden sites that I’ve set up with wordpress…how do I set one up for survision.net?
lots of questions and I really appreciate your help.
Warmly,

Hi there Linda! The $13 is for a service called Domain Mapping. Basically, this means that you have a Domain Name (survision.net) registered at GoDaddy. And you have a site, survision.wordpress.com, that you manage here at WordPress.com. Domain Mapping connects the two, so that in a reader’s address bar, they will see your Domain Name, but in their browser window, they can read your WordPress.com site, without “wordpress” appearing in the URL.
I hope that clears things up!
To connect your Gravatar to survision.net, click on Users → My Profile. This is where you’ll maintain all your public information for your WordPress.com site.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much and happy blogging!
