mapping domain name under OVH registar

  Good morning,
  I don’t seem to find exactly what I should be doing to complete the mapping of my domain name (under OVH registrar) to wordpress.com. Any advices you would have?

  Hi Florence!

  Your domain (thespiritofh2o.com) is not pointing to the name servers at WordPress.com.

  You’ll need to update the name servers with your domain registrar. This article explains how:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

  The name servers for WordPress.com are:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  If you’re not sure how to change them, please contact your registrar (OVH) for assistance. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to your account information on the OVH server and can’t see your settings.

  Once you have updated the name servers, it may take up to 48 hours for the domain to be pointed to your WordPress.com site.

  Information have been updated on the OVH site on the first day (now close to 72 hours) and I have now the 3 wordpress servers listed (and no others) for the DNS section. Something else is missing but what? I can send full screen of the information wihtin the registrar via email.

  Very frustrating… it works for about 30 minutes and then went back to not-working…

  The name servers seem to have resolved, and I’m able to access your site just fine at http://thespiritofh2o.com/ .

  If you’re still having trouble, could you clear your browser cache or try in an incognito window or another browser? You may be looking at a cached version.

  Let me know if you need anything else.

  And just as I wrote that a few minutes ago, the situation is back to the non-working state, cache clear…. arg…..

  it is completely erratic… it works for 5 minutes then stopped again…

  Hi there,

  When I look up the current name servers for that domain, I see this:

  Name Server: dns104.ovh.net
  Name Server: ns2.wordpress.com
  Name Server: ns104.ovh.net
  Name Server: ns1.wordpress.com
  Name Server: ns3.wordpress.com

  It looks like you’ll need to ask OVH why their name servers are showing up again, even after you’ve changed them. Let me know what they say!
