mapping domain problem

    Hi,
    I have done a domain mapping with the address nutri-health.uk.com hosted by Gandi. I have setted the DNS (NS1.WORDPRESS.COM NS2.WORDPRESS.COM NS3.WORDPRESS.COM) on my Gandi’s administration page and I have added the domain on my domain setting page on wordpress. The problemp is that I land on a blank page when I type the new URL (nutri-health.uk.com) and the former one “downsnutrition.wordpress.com goes straight to nutri-health.uk.com so I still land on a blank page and have no possibility to reach the website. I had a look to your forums but I didn’t find the domain and DNS editing possibilities you are talking about.
    Can you help me please.

    Hello there!

    From my research, it does look like you’re set up properly.

    If you recently set up your domain servers, it can take up to 72-hours for these changes to propagate internet-wide. This could be why the error is taking place.

    If you’d like, you can always make downsnutrition.wordpress.com your primary domain until your custom domain is live, and visible everywhere online.

    To do this, go to your Dashboard and click Store → My Domains. Then make your WordPress.com URL your Primare domain, and save the change.

    After the 72-hour period is over, if you’re still having mapping problems, please let me know. I can help further! Cheers.

    This is what I have done but the address Downsnutrition.wordpress.com does not work anymore. I think it has been a problem when mapping the new address or when changing the DNS

    I’ve taken care of this for you. When you visit http://downsnutrition.wordpress.com/, you should now be taken to your WordPress.com site. If you’re not seeing it right away, you may need to clear your browser’s cache first, following these instructions:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache

    Just one thing, the URL nutri-health.uk.com still land on a blank page. I wait until tomorrow (that will be 72 hours) and I write to you if necessary.

    If you still see an error tomorrow, first please check with Gandhi that your name servers have been changed properly. Then, write me a note and I can look into the issue further for you! Best of luck.

    Hi, I have sent a mail to Gandi and here is their answer (in french). They ask for a screen copy of the “zone file” and I don’t know where to find it on my dashboard. Can you help me please.

    Hi, I have just received this answer from Gandi in french. That says that because I have replaced Gandi’s DNS by Word press’s DNS the problem might be on WP side. There is a contact at the end of the message. If you could try to contact this person to solve the problem between professionals that would be great. Thank you.

    serveurs DNS en ceux de WordPress. Si votre nom de domaine ne pointe toujours
    pas vers votre site WordPress, ce serait WordPress qui puisse régler le

    this is the last answer by Gandi (in french at the end of message). I try to translate :
    “You have created a wordpress website and have redirected your domain nutri-health.uk.com to WordPress DNS servers :

    ns3.wordpress.com
    Because of this we can’t access zone files because word press DNS servers don’t belong to us.
    As a registrar we only have to ensure that your domain is pointing correctly to the DNS servers you have choosen to redirect your domain. It is actually the case.
    We invite you to ask directly wordpress who is hosting your web site if you have difficulties.

    Still a blank page. i hope not to be anymore in a ping-pong betwenn Gandi and you.

    En tant que registrar, nous devons uniquement nous assurer que le domaine pointe bien sur les serveurs DNS vers lesquels vous avez redirigé le domaine. Ici, c’est bien le cas :-)
