Mapping Domain with out messing up email on old hosting server

  Hi, I need some help. I purchased the domain mapping from WP for my blog midmissourina.wordpress.com so i can redirect our website midmissourina.org to it. We are currently hosted thru x7hosting.com until October, then will be switching to WP permanently. Anyways. I need to keep my email at the x7hosting so it still works until the time comes that we do switch everything. Can someone help me with this please? Thanks!!

  WordPress.COM does not provide email hosting – there are several ways to have email that is mapped from a different host – see below to get started – each email host (your current host might even provide email hosting for a fee) has a bit different set of things to configure and the format for the configuration so you will need to do some homework

  Ok so I have all of the DNS records from x7hosting.com so I just type them into the DNS box one at a time? They are all “In A” records, all of the MX records are blank. Do I need those too?

  There are several different ways depending on your host – when I mapped mine I needed both an A record & MX record
